Welcome to Right On Time Music Reviews!
It’s been quite a while since I’ve updated this, and almost as long since I last wrote. Suffice it to say, change is good and through change one grows. Anyway, I tend to favor music that is truly art. Not to say that I am any kind of elitist, I’ll give almost anything a shot. Notice I said almost since I have no patience for people who don’t write their own music or play their own instruments. My litmus test for a band/artist is their performance in a live setting. If they sound the same live as on the album, then they pass my test. Anyone can use Pro-Tools and make a decent sounding album in the studio, so its those who can perform live that set themselves apart.
Now for a little about me…my name is Carl and I am a 2009 graduate of Fairfield University with a degree in English/Journalism. Somehow, I have found myself working in a multinational insurance company, so writing has gone to the back burner since then quite honestly. At this point, my life has become much more complex, but again growth via change is a beautiful thing.
I have loved music pretty much my entire life, with my tastes changing with my life experiences. My first actual concert was in 2002 when I saw Glasseater and Bayside headlining at a VFW Hall in Pequannock, NJ. Since then, I have been to a decent amount of concerts, and hope to get to more. The best band I have seen live was a tie between RX Bandits and Bob Dylan.
If you are on this blog for the first time, I welcome you. My writing will increase as I find time to fit it into my daily schedule as a routine.
